Who is responsible for your information
ACF (SOUTH EAST) LIMITED, trading as ACF Carpets & Flooring, is responsible for personal information used to handle your enquiry. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 17111242. Our registered office is 70 East Hill, Dartford, DA1 1RZ, England. This is our registered office address, not a walk-in showroom.
For privacy enquiries, email acfsoutheast@outlook.com, call 07883 077412, or write to our registered office.
Information you provide
A flooring quote asks for your name, phone number, email, project town or city and flooring requirements. A showroom request asks for your name, preferred contact method and corresponding details, project town or city, flooring interest and optional visit preferences. Project postcodes and additional information are optional.
This form does not upload photographs. You can add them directly in WhatsApp when you send your enquiry. Please avoid including people, documents or unnecessary personal information in any photographs you share. Providing information is voluntary, but we need enough detail and a way to contact you to discuss the work.
What happens when you use the form
The website checks your information on its server and prepares a WhatsApp message. It does not automatically send an enquiry to ACF, email your details or save them in a website enquiry database.
Opening the prepared WhatsApp link shares the text in that link with WhatsApp. Review the message and press Send in WhatsApp to contact ACF. Photographs are not attached automatically. Preparing a message on this website does not notify ACF or confirm delivery.
Your answers remain in the page’s memory while you review or edit them; the website does not save a draft to your browser’s storage. Reloading the page clears the form. Choosing Copy enquiry message places the text on your device’s clipboard, which you control.
Why we use information
We use your enquiry to discuss flooring, assess your requirements and take steps you request before a possible contract. Where you contact us on behalf of a business, our legitimate interest is responding to that business enquiry. If work goes ahead, we use the information to arrange and carry out the agreed contract and meet applicable legal obligations, including keeping required business records.
We also have a legitimate interest in keeping the website secure and protecting it against spam. Technical request information, including IP addresses, is processed for delivery and security. The form’s request limiter uses a hashed IP identifier. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. We do not use this form to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Providers and sharing
Netlify hosts the website and processes the requests needed to serve pages and check the form, together with technical information used for hosting and security. Our application does not deliberately log enquiry text, contact details or photographs.
If you choose WhatsApp, its service processes the link and messages you send. Email correspondence is handled through our email provider, Microsoft Outlook, as well as your own email service. Access within ACF is limited to handling enquiries and related business work. Information may also be shared with professional advisers or public authorities where needed for legal obligations or a legal claim.
These providers operate internationally, so information may be processed outside the UK, including in the United States. Their published notices explain their processing and transfer arrangements: Netlify’s privacy statement, Netlify’s data processing agreement, WhatsApp’s UK privacy policy and Microsoft’s privacy statement. You can contact us for information about the arrangements applying to your enquiry.
How long information is kept
The website does not keep a separate enquiry database. Once you send an enquiry by WhatsApp or email, we retain the correspondence for as long as it is needed to answer you, prepare or follow up a quotation and deal with the resulting work. We review whether information is still needed, taking account of the enquiry’s status, any ongoing customer relationship, complaints or disputes, and applicable legal record-keeping requirements. Information no longer needed for these purposes is deleted or anonymised.
Technical security records are kept according to their operational purpose and the hosting service’s arrangements. The form limiter uses a 15-minute request window; its temporary identifiers are not an enquiry history. Your own device, messaging account and backups may keep copies under settings you control.
Cookies and tracking
Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion tracking and Meta Pixel are not enabled on this website. Read our cookie policy for information about the preference stored on your device and the form’s temporary page memory.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict its use, or receive a portable copy. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent. Contact us using the details above to make a request.
Your right to object. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests, including our handling of business enquiries and website security information. Contact us to explain your circumstances so we can consider your request.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection regulator. You do not have to contact us first, although we welcome the opportunity to address your concern.
